Next Thursday, on May 18th at 6:30 p.m., Nikola Borić will present his book “Šuma je moj dom”. He will speak firsthand about what it’s like to leave everything behind, relocate to the forest, and live in peace with nature.
Nikola Borić is a fitness coach who helped boxer Stjepan Božić win the world title, swimmer Ana Sršen perform at the Paralympic Games in Sydney, Gordan Kožulja perform at the Olympic Games in Athens. Nikola won Olympic medals with Turkish middle-distance runners, and had the world’s most expensive carbon fiber bicycle factory and an IT company. He was national champion in triathlon seven times, he lived and worked in Addis Ababa, Berlin, Amsterdam and Istanbul… All of that, however, is in the past for Nikola Borić, who currently lives in the heart of a forest on the northern side of Papuk, where he keeps pigs, ducks, geese, chickens, and bees, has a small fish farm, and cultivates potatoes and other vegetables.
